About

Vision & Mission

We are on a mission to revolutionize the way small businesses operate.

We do this by providing cutting edge business infrastructure tools that give ambitious entrepreneurs access to not just grow, but to scale sustainable, socially conscious companies that fuel job growth.

Our History

It all started in 2005.

2005

Humble beginnings. Equilibria began as a professional organizing company.

2007

After working with so many home based businesses, Equilibria evolves from professional organizing to business infrastructure.

2008

Patterns emerged and led to the development of the Kasennu framework for business infrastructure. Even filed a patent application for software!

2018

10 years later, our Founder wrote the world’s first book on business infrastructure specifically for small businesses. The Business Infrastructure podcast also started this year. Both were gamechangers for Equilibria!

2020

The business model evolved again from consulting to teaching and training. Taking a dose of our own medicine, we began expanding our team.

2023

Now, we are a team of employees, contractors, and strategic partners with operations across three countries.

A Message from Our CEO

When I started Equilibria 17 years ago, I never imagined it would evolve into what it is today. What began as my passion to organize businesses is now a go-to source for ambitious entrepreneurs around the world in building sustainable business infrastructure. This evolution results from the thousands of entrepreneurs across different sectors and industries that we’ve had the pleasure of meeting, working with, and learning from.

Before founding Equilibria, I worked as a Chemical Engineer. Because I worked in oil refineries and chemical plants, my official title was Process Engineer. This was a pivotal moment in my career. Not only did I refine my skills in the areas of process design, improvement, and optimization, but I also witnessed the events leading to four major downsizes and their painful aftermath. It was then that I made the connection between poor process design and implementation (both manufacturing and transactional) to inefficiency, waste, and redundancy which ultimately leads to poor quality and lost revenue.

Determined to not let downsizing be my fate, I decided to take the entrepreneurial plunge (despite the concerns of family, friends, and colleagues) in 2005 and never looked back. By applying my organizing skills and big enterprise strategies to small businesses, I knew I could improve efficiency and productivity – and I was right. Fueled by tenacity and willpower, I patiently gathered research, studied trends, and developed and tested proprietary products and services to educate entrepreneurs and the people that work with and for them on business infrastructure.

Today, Equilibria provides resources to stabilize rapidly growing small businesses of any size under the pressure of meeting payroll, passing audits, and keeping customers happy. If you find yourself struggling with meeting customer demand, unexpected fines, accounting mistakes, mismanaged files, theft, fraud, or even the threat of team members quitting – we can help!

By applying similar processes that manufacturing companies use to run like a “well-oiled machine,” but for a fraction of the cost, our team will save you thousands of dollars in lost revenue every year. Although technology continues to change the way we do business, our vision to help businesses navigate growth without falling apart remains constant. We don’t want to see you or any entrepreneur fail just when things begin moving forward. This is why we’re so excited to share in your journey toward extraordinary growth.

Stick with us. A year from now, you’ll be thankful you did!

To Your “Mega” Success,

Alicia Butler Pierre
