"Is Your Driver's Seat Positioned So Your Feet Reach the Pedal?"
When you are driving your car you must position the car
seat such that your feet can reach the pedals. This enables
you to comfortably accelerate and brake as necessary while
driving. The same is true with your company. It makes sense
that similar work groups are situated near each other for
smoother information flow and increased efficiency.
Equilibria's Workspace LogisticsTM service includes
office floor plans that showcase proper employee, furniture,
and equipment placement. These plans can be of your individual
office or of your entire office suite/building. Our floor
plans visually show how information should flow throughout
your company. We take onsite measurements of your workspace,
observe the interaction among you, your employees, and your
customers, and draft floor plans that organize your company's
workspace for maximum efficiency and productivity.

real life application:
The owner of Company
D was at the end of his rope - no matter how hard he
tried he seemed to be losing traction on some important
projects. This problem was further complicated by the
fact that his desk did not stay clutter-free for longer
than a day. His growing concern led him to giving us
a call. During our initial consultation session, we
learned that although his business was growing, he was
in jeopardy of losing major clients if he did not start
meeting important project deadlines.
We spent a couple of days with the owner, observing
how information flows throughout his office. We then
measured his office as well as all furniture and equipment.
We created a floor plan that illustrated that if he
placed all project information onto some empty bookshelves,
re-arranged his desk and credenza to be near the bookcase,
and placed a small literature sorter on top of his
credenza, then he could eliminate the paper piles
that consume his desk. The new plan would also allow
him to better track project progress. Two months later,
Company D's owner reported a dramatic improvement
in his efficiency. Not only did he complete those
projects he was concerned about, but he was able to
take on a 34% increase in workload.
