our background
A recent study on professional executives by Michael Markins
and Richard Steele revealed that their lack of goal attainment
was largely due in part to “…reviews that were
long on exhortation but short on executable advice”
(Harvard Business Review, Jan. 2006, Vol. 84, No. 1, pg.
76).
In other words, while they discovered that most professionals
are urged to make change within their companies, they are
rarely or never told exactly how to make that change.
At Equilibria, we focus on the “how.”
Equilibria, Inc. began in 2005 in Atlanta, GA as an organizing
firm specializing in residential services. Alicia C. Butler,
a former chemical engineer and Equilibria’s founder,
specifically chose the name “Equilibria” as
its root meaning implies balance. Alicia created Equilibria
as a company that embraces the balancing of science and
technical talents with business and creative talents to
design organizing-based solutions that are both realistic
and most importantly, executable.
As Equilibria grew, we responded to the unmatched demand
for office-related organizing services by introducing a
commercial services arm. By the beginning of 2006, Equilibria
began offering service solutions to government, non-profit
and commercial entities. Although our core market shifted,
our core competency in organizing did not.
Today, Equilibria is poised for continuous growth as we
continue to focus on providing organizing solutions that
provide balance amongst the people and processes that drive
your business, the space in which you conduct business,
and the systems you use to record and store your company’s
information.
