our accomplishments
One of our most recent accomplishments occurred in April, 2007 when we received sponsorship from AT&T to participate in the Kauffman Foundation’s Fast Trac Growth Venture® program. This is a program designed to provide management resources and tools to small businesses recognized as having the potential to grow into substantially larger companies.
Television
Equilibria was featured on the Atlanta Interfaith Broadcasting TV show, “A Woman’s Place,” where we provided tips on ways to better manage your time and organize your life. We were also recently approached by a major cable channel to display our work as part of their hit show’s plot.
Presentations & Seminars
We are often asked to give presentations to specific groups of people. Typically, our presentations address audiences of small business owners; however, we once gave an “Organizing for Back-to-School” presentation to middle and high-school students. During the presentation, the students were responsible for bringing their school supply lists, determining how to organize the list according to the best stores to purchase the supplies, and figuring out what they needed to do to organize themselves at home so that they always have time to finish their homework, eat breakfast, and get to school without being tardy.
Our customized presentations and seminars provide practical, hands-on training for organizing various parts of a small business. In Nov. 2007, we were asked to facilitate a new seminar, "How to Design Optimal, Effective Office Space," at the 9th Annual DeKalb County Small Business Development Conference.
Community Service
We strongly believe in giving back to the community. We often volunteer our time and organizing skills to bring structure to non-profit events such as food drives, demonstrations, and conferences.
Memberships
Equilibria is a member of The National Association of Professional Organizers and the American Marketing Association. We are also a nationally certified women’s business enterprise.
